On behalf of the people of Australia, the Australian Government has announced a contribution of $10,000 to Wildlife SEQ Inc., in honour of The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
The contribution will go towards the care and rehabilitation of koalas affected by illness and injury. Wildlife SEQ plan to purchase much needed equipment to help our carers raise & rehabilitate more koalas. Koalas have several diseases that prevent them from being rehabilitated together so much more equipment is needed.
Past contributions have gone to the Bilby, Mountain Pygmy Possum and Numbat conservation. This latest contribution focuses on Australia’s iconic koala, and comes as Australia and the Commonwealth celebrate Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s 70 years of service.
