BECOME A WILDLIFE CARER

Learn how to become a wildlife carer and help look after our native fauna.  While this role does require time and commitment, you will receive ongoing training and mentoring throughout your journey.  This role is can be challenging at time however it is extremely rewarding,

LAND FOR WILDLIFE

Do you have a Land for Wildlife registered property and would like to assist in helping us release native fauna?  Then we would love to hear from you.  Sadly as natural habitat decreases we are always needing new release locations for our animals.  If you have property that you think is suitable or would like to find out more, please contact us and we will give you a call to discuss.

ASSIST WITH FUNDRAISING

As Wildlife SEQ is a Not for Profit organisation, we are always in needs of help raising much needed funds. Assistance from the community plays an integral part in our ability to keep running.  If you have some spare time and would like to get involved , then please let us know!

COLLECT FOLIAGE

Collecting foliage for the animals in care is one of the most important jobs of a wildlife carer.  If you are unable to become a carer but would still like to help and enjoy being outside, then this might be the perfect role for you.  Even if you have a few hours spare a week assisting our carers collecting foliage will assist in the ongoing care of many species.

SEW POUCHES OR CONSTRUCT BOXES

This role is a non stop job and we are always looking for volunteers who are handy with the sewing machine or hammer!  As the number of joeys coming into care increase, so does the need for pouches and boxes.  Instructions can be provided to you, all you need to do is let us know!

ADMINISTRATION

Being a NFP, we always have a large array of administration tasks that need to be completed.  From social media to grants, document reporting and more any help is welcome.  If you are handy with a computer and have some time to spare, then please get in contact.
